Reporting to the heads of the company, the Talent Acquisition/Human Resources Manager is the founding HR employee and will be a key builder, adviser and consultant to the company. This individual will work closely with the CEO, COO, and others to roll up their sleeves and proactively address recruiting/talent acquisition, employee relations/culture, organizational development, and strategic workforce planning.
Specifically, this professional will be a key representative and will evangelize the company in the market while proactively ensuring pipelines of key roles across the organization are prepped and ready to address the company’s current and growing needs. This individual will ensure employees are successfully hired, onboarded, and retained, will help those transitioning out of the company, and will keep an eye on overall planning to support the growth and culture of the business.
As a result, the ideal candidate will be a recruiting/talent acquisition professional from the Los Angeles ad agency market who will use that as a portal to the rest of the HR partnership. This person will be both practical and strategic, very comfortable in an external-facing role and yet also consultative. This individual will be scrappy, creative and entrepreneurial, and will roll up their sleeves to do whatever it takes to get things done.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be bright and articulate and possess strong communications skills and, of equal importance, good common business sense. This person will be a scrappy, creative entrepreneur at heart, willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done.
This individual will thus possess a set of core values that encompasses respect for the power of the team while recognizing the value of individual contributors within the context of the team. A proven track record of helping to establish a family culture based upon performance, openness, integrity, and empowerment is essential. The ideal candidate will possess “presence” and favorably represent Lineage as a vital, important ambassador in the marketplace.
The successful candidate will thus be able to work in a highly charged, entrepreneurial family organization and will have the ability to move into ‘uncharted waters’ regarding innovative approaches to meeting and exceeding corporate goals. This will be someone who is persistent and determined to serve and make a difference, and also be comfortable in a relatively unstructured environment – and thus knows what it takes to get the job done creatively given relatively limited resources
This person will have superior recruiting, networking and creative professional skills balanced with good business instincts and people skills. They will have the highest levels of personal and professional integrity and be driven by a passion for being on the ground floor and seeing a growing business achieve ever higher levels of success.
